Description
Bacteriostatic water (bac water) is sold separately.
Trz is a synthetic, lipidated peptide analogue studied for dual activity at the GIP and GLP-1 receptors. The information below is provided for scientific identification and research context.
Potential Benefits — Research Is Ongoing
Potential benefits below relate to Trz research in controlled human trials; this B&A presentation has not undergone those trials.
- Appetite regulation: May reduce hunger and support better control of food intake.
- Weight reduction: May support sustained weight loss alongside dietary and lifestyle changes.
- Body-fat reduction: May reduce total fat mass and abdominal fat.
- Smaller waist circumference: May support reductions in waist size as body fat decreases.
- Blood-glucose control: May improve glucose regulation in people with type 2 diabetes.
- Metabolic improvements: May improve selected blood-pressure and lipid measures during weight reduction.
Research sources: SURMOUNT-1 trial; Body-composition substudy.
Research Overview
Trz has been investigated in large randomised trials involving adults with obesity and people with type 2 diabetes. The SURMOUNT and SURPASS programmes examined body weight and metabolic outcomes using controlled study material, defined protocols and medical supervision. These trials do not establish equivalence of this B&A research vial to the studied formulations.
Mechanism / Pathway
Trz activates GIP and GLP-1 receptors, two incretin pathways involved in glucose-dependent insulin secretion and metabolic regulation. Research also examines appetite and energy-intake responses. This dual activity differs from a GLP-1-only agonist and does not include glucagon-receptor agonism.
Important Research Information
Clinical benefits depend on the formulation, population and supervised trial conditions. A shared compound name does not prove equal identity, purity, stability or safety of a separately supplied research product. Gastrointestinal adverse effects were reported in the clinical programmes. This page provides scientific context, not administration, titration or treatment guidance.

Trz 30 mg Vial
Trz, supplied as lyophilised powder in a B&A Premium vial with a holographic product label.
About this vial presentation
Trz 30 mg Vial is supplied as one vial in the B&A Premium range. The labelled amount of 30 mg refers to the total contents of the vial, rather than a dose or liquid volume. Use the actual batch label to confirm identity, total dry content, storage and expiry information. This vial is supplied as lyophilised powder, not as a liquid or ready-made solution.
Browse the vial collection to compare product names, quantities and formats. Bacteriostatic water is sold separately; this does not establish that it is compatible with this formulation. For documentation relating to Trz 30 mg Vial, contact B&A Premium with the batch reference.

Warnings, Contraindications & Safety Information
Research use only. This is an evidence-limited safety summary, not a package insert, complete prescribing information or permission for self-administration. References to licensed medicines describe those specific products; they do not establish B&A product approval, equivalence or safety.
Contraindications & Who Should Avoid Exposure
The ZEPBOUND Trz medicine label lists personal or family history of medullary thyroid carcinoma, MEN2, and ingredient hypersensitivity as contraindications. These warnings concern the licensed medicine; they do not make this B&A presentation an equivalent or approved medicine.
Warnings & Precautions
Medicine-label precautions include pancreatitis, gallbladder disease, severe gastrointestinal problems, dehydration-related kidney injury and diabetic eye complications. Severe gastroparesis is a reason the licensed medicine is not recommended. Pregnancy, pregnancy planning and breastfeeding require a clinician’s advice. Inform the anaesthetist before surgery or deep sedation because delayed stomach emptying can increase aspiration risk.
Possible Adverse Reactions
Licensed-medicine studies commonly report nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, constipation and abdominal discomfort. Serious allergy and severe abdominal symptoms need urgent medical assessment. Rates from those studies must not be applied to this B&A presentation.
Drug & Supplement Interactions
Insulin and sulfonylureas can increase hypoglycaemia risk. Delayed gastric emptying may affect oral medicines. Do not combine overlapping GLP-1 or Trz products without a prescriber’s assessment. Trz can reduce oral hormonal contraceptive effectiveness; its label advises a non-oral method or added barrier contraception for 4 weeks after starting and after each dose increase.
When to Seek Urgent Help
Seek emergency care for difficulty breathing, swelling of the face or throat, collapse, severe persistent abdominal pain, or repeated vomiting with inability to keep fluids down. Stop further exposure and show the clinician the product label and ingredient list.
Handling & Storage Cautions
Follow the actual product label and batch-specific expiry information. Do not use damaged, contaminated or unexpectedly changed material. Powder appearance, refrigeration or addition of bacteriostatic water does not prove sterility, compatibility or a safe shelf life. Do not share needles, pens or opened material between people.
